"Walk a Mile in Silence" to Honor and Remember
all who perished on 09/11/2001?
The New Orleans Memorial Stair Climb is proud to bring back the
“Mile of Silence Walk”. During this walk, family, friends and supporters of first responders can walk a mile in their shoes to support, honor and remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
This walk is NOT a race and it is NOT about us. It is about the fallen and their families, so PLEASE pay your respect by walking in SILENCE in their Honor. It is limited to 2,566 spots, the exact number of civilians that perished on that horrific day 23 years ago.
Check-in will be located in Lafayette Square. The walk will begin at the corner of Poydras St and Magazine St (400 Poydras Tower). Walkers will proceed down Magazine St to Andrew Higgins, take a right on Andrew Higgins to Camp St, take a right on Camp St back down to Poydras St, and finish back at the corner of Poydras St and Magazine St
400 Poydras Tower.
Start time for the "Walk" TBA...Rain or Shine.
